'City On A Hill' Trailer: Kevin Bacon Is A Corrupt FBI Agent In Boston In New Series Produced By Damon & Affleck

Kevin Bacon is due for another big hit, right? The legendary actor that has starred in everything from classic ‘80s nostalgia in “Footloose,” to some of the best dramas of the last 30 years like “Mystic River,” “A Few Good Men,” “JFK,” “Sleepers,” and “Apollo 13.” But recently, outside of a couple notable appearances in films and TV, Bacon hasn’t really had the chance to truly shine. Hopefully, that changes with the upcoming Showtime series “City on a Hill.”

In the first trailer for the upcoming police drama, we meet Bacon’s character FBI agent Jackie Rhodes, who is just about as crooked as they come. He’s busy doing drugs, having sex with random women, and basically anything else an FBI agent shouldn’t be doing. That is until he meets the newest Assitant District Attorney, played by Aldis Hodge, who wants to team up with Rhodes to help take on the crime in 1990s Boston.

And since we’re talking about a high-profile film and TV project that is based in Boston, you better believe that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are aboard the show as producers.

Joining Hodge and Bacon in the cast are Jonathan Tucker, Mark O’Brien, Amanda Clayton, Jere Shea, Kevin Chapman, Cathy Moriarty, Rory Culkin, and Jill Hennessy.

Showtime is debuting “City on a Hill” on June 16. Hopefully, 2019 is the year of the Kevin Bacon comeback. If Nic Cage can do it, anyone can!

Here’s the synopsis:

In early 1990s Boston, assistant district attorney Decourcy Ward forms an unlikely alliance with a corrupt yet venerated FBI veteran, Jackie Rhodes. Together, they take on a case that ultimately changes the city’s entire criminal justice system. City on a Hill premieres Sunday, June 16 at 9/8c.
