'City On A Hill' Season 3 Trailer: Kevin Bacon & Aldis Hodge Keep Trying To Absolve Boston Of Its Sins & Crimes

There’s so much content on TV right now, it’s hard to know what’s what, but if you’re looking for a Boston crime show, Showtime’s “City On A Hill” is a pretty solidly acclaimed, meat and potatoes crime thriller that checks off a lot of boxes. Plus, it features a lot of great actors, including its leads Emmy nominee Kevin Bacon and Screen Actors Guild award winner Aldis Hodge whose career is really taking off of late.

“City On A Hill” is set in the early 1990s of Boston when Assistant District Attorney Decourcy Ward (Holde) forms an unlikely alliance with a corrupt, venerated FBI veteran, Jackie Rohr (Bacon). Together, they take on a case that changes the city’s entire criminal justice system.

Created by Chuck MacLean, the series also stars Jonathan Tucker, Mark O’Brien, Lauren E. Banks, Amanda Clayton, Jere Shea, Kevin Chapman, and Jill Hennessy. If you’re looking for many solid TV directing veterans, “City On A Hill” features many of them, including executive producer Michael Cuesta, Ed Bianchi, and Clark Johnson, both known for their work on “The Wire” Kyra Sedgwick, and many more. Corrupt FBI agent Jackie Rohr (Kevin Bacon) is back, looking to exploit Boston’s criminal justice system in a desperate attempt to salvage his own career. Unfortunately for Jackie, ADA Decourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge) is onto his adversary’s latest misstep.
