We’re already looking forward to Duncan Jones’ “Source Code,” the follow up to his strong debut “Moon.” Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, Jeffrey Wright and comedian Russell Peters, “Source Code” follows a man who is part of an experimental government program investigating a terrorist incident. He finds himself in the body of an unknown commuter living and reliving a harrowing train bombing until he can find who is responsible for the attack.
Duncan Jones has provided an exciting update to the film, tweeting: “Have a bloody fantastic bit of ‘Source Code’ news. Super star Clint Mansell WILL be scoring the film. You have no idea how relieved I am.”
Clint Mansell is a Playlist favorite and provided the excellent score for Jones’ “Moon.” More recently he re-teamed with Darren Aronofsky for his forthcoming “Black Swan,” retooling pieces of Tchaikovsky’s original “Swan Lake” score. It’s some pretty great stuff.
“Source Code” will hit theaters on April 15, 2011.
