‘Collateral’ Trailer: Carey Mulligan Needs Names

As much as I’d like to see Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan starring in a remake of Michael Mann‘s “Collateral” (in the Tom Cruise role, of course) this is not what this is. Rather, it’s the BBC Two series that has already started airing across ye olde pond, but don’t worry, the whole shebang will be on Netflix before you know it.

Written by David Hare (“The Hours,” “The Reader“) and directed by S.J. Clarkson (“Love, Nina,” “Jessica Jones“), the story follows a U.K. detective who dives in to solve a mystery of a murdered pizza delivery boy, but naturally, that’s just the start of knotty tale. Here’s the official synopsis:

When a pizza delivery driver is shot dead in south London, a tenacious detective goes after the people traffickers behind his murder and unravels a conspiracy that goes to the top.

Running four episodes long, it sounds like the perfect weekend binge watch, and the reviews seem to be pretty solid too: The Guardian and Metro are among those posting up some strong notices.

“Collateral” hits Netflix on March 9th.
