Sony really, really wants to expand their "Ghostbusters" empire, so much that they actually have four shared universe movies in development, including the Paul Feig-directed, female-driven reboot. One of those movie is reportedly a bro-tacular version, and you might remember that late last year, during the height of the Sony email leaks, it was reported that Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt were interested and/or being courted by the studio. Not so.
In a new profile in Esquire, Pratt brings down the hammer on those rumors, and basically anything else you might’ve heard his name attached to recently. "No one has ever even spoken to me about that," he told the magazine. "Never. I’ve even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that’s complete bullshit."
" ‘Knight Rider‘ — bullshit. All of them," he added.

So there you go. Whatever was going on in those emails, they didn’t seem to actually involve Pratt, and no one has called him about it, well, ever. So, even if Sony is working on a dude-centered "Ghostbusters," no one has actually reached out to Pratt. It’s probably a good reminder that while lots of names get tossed around in boardrooms, it’s a whole other step to start actual conversations. My guess is that everyone is waiting to see what the reception is for "Jurassic World" when it opens on June 12th before yet another franchise is brought to Pratt’s door.
