Dave Bautista Mocks Disney And Invokes MAGA For His Latest Tweet About James Gunn's Firing

Disney has apparently made its final decision, and James Gunn is out. But we already knew that. Well, even though this news has been around for a few days, actor Dave Bautista, who plays Drax the Destroyer in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, is not done telling Disney how he really feels. Namely, he still looks for any way to voice his frustration and obvious displeasure with the decision by mocking the studio on Twitter.

In a new tweet, the actor comments on the Disney decision to not rehire James Gunn after a “courtesy” meeting by invoking some heavy sarcasm, but also linking the Mouse House to a particular politician that seems to be constantly the source of debate.

Bautista tweeted, “Thanks @Disney!! Making America great again!”

And with those six words, Dave Bautista has said just about everything he can about Gunn’s dismissal. The actor has been steadfast in his support of the ousted director. He’s said numerous times that he’s unhappy with the development and has threatened to walk away from the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” if Disney doesn’t use Gunn’s script. While all signs point to the studio using the already-written script, there’s still no official word on what’s coming next for the cosmic superheroes.

The allusion to Donald Trump comes from Bautista’s insistence that the Gunn situation all stems from an alt-right attack on the director, where a group of “cybernazis” (the word the actor often uses) dug up some decade-old offensive tweets. And clearly, when the Drax actor thinks of Nazis, a certain Presidential slogan comes to mind.

Regardless of the origin of the issue, the result is that ‘Guardians 3’ is without the primary creative mind behind the franchise. And with that, everyone is wondering what to make of the future of the ‘Guardians’ film. One thing is for sure, no matter what happens, Bautista will be sure to let everyone know exactly how he feels.
