Got a Tip?

Don’t Worry, DC Movies Are “100%” Connected

A new week, and yet another indication that the folks at DC need to improve their communication skills. Recently, executives at the comics company stated, in the press, that Marvel style connectivity between their films was no longer the ultimate end game.

“Our intention, certainly, moving forward is using the continuity to help make sure nothing is diverging in a way that doesn’t make sense, but there’s no insistence upon an overall storyline or interconnectivity in that universe,” DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson had said.

“Some of the movies do connect the characters together, like ‘Justice League.’ But, like with ‘Aquaman‘ our goal is not to connect ‘Aquaman’ to every movie,” Geoff Johns chimed in. But now it looks like they’re pivoting again, and letting everyone know that each picture does matter to the ones before and after it.

Johns has turned around on both his and the company’s statements, confirming in a response to a fan on Twitter that DC Films are all 100% connected.

So, hooray then, I guess. At this point, I just want these movies to be good. I could care less if “Justice League” connects to “Cyborg” or whatever. Anyway, we’ll see those narrative threads unfold when the superheroes unite on November 17th.Justice-League
