'Deadpool 3': Brianna Hildebrand & Shioli Kutsuna Will Both Be Back For Shawn Levy's Upcoming Marvel Sequel

Deadpool 3” may still be about a year and a half away from kicking off MCU‘s Phase 6, but buzz for the upcoming threequel is already percolating. How so? Well, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic will be back as Vanessa and Colossus, so there’s that. And so will Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams as Dopinder and Blind Al. But despite those four returning, no one heard about Brianna Hildebrand coming back as Negasonic Teenage Warhead; or Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Negasonic’s girlfriend.

Now Deadline confirms that the couple will return to reprise their roles in Shawn Levy‘s upcoming sequel. For those who don’t remember, Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead, a mutant who can generate nuclear explosions, first helped out Ryan Reynold‘s Merc With A Mouth in 2016’s “Deadpool.” Then Yukio showed in “Deadpool 2” as Negasonic’s girlfriend, a sweet but lethal mutant ninja. It really wouldn’t be a proper “Deadpool” sequel without these two on board, so it’s nice to get confirmation on their return. One more returning cast member from the previous films: Rob Delaney‘s Peter, an ordinary human team member of Deadpool’s X-Force.

Newcomers for “Deadpool 3” include Emma CorrinMatthew Macfadyen, and, of course, Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine. Plot details for Levy’s sequel remain under wraps, but rest assured that it will revolve around Deadpool and Wolverine bickering incessantly with each other.

Levi directs a script by him, Reynolds, Paul WernickRhett Reese, and Zeb Wells for Deadpool’s entrance into the MCU. Reynolds co-produces the third film of his franchise alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. This iteration of “Deadpool 3” wouldn’t be happening without the Disney-Fox merger, finalized in 2019.

Is there any other news about “Deadpool 3”? Well, the movie starts shooting in London later this month. Then it kicks off Phase 6 of the MCU on November 8, 2024. But expect details about Corrin and Macfadyen’s characters after the film enters production.
