If you believe the scheduling, as of now, then Marvel Studios is putting all of its 2024 film eggs in one basket, “Deadpool 3.” Thankfully, anticipation for “Deadpool 3” is through the roof, as it’s a beloved franchise and the new one will be the first in the MCU. And if set leaks are any indication, the film is going to have a ton of Easter Eggs and cameos. While the leaks have been helping build hype for the film, Ryan Reynolds would like everyone to please relax with the spoilers.

Over on Instagram, Ryan Reynolds shared a message in a Story where he asked fans of the film and members of the media to please stop circulating set pictures that give away spoilers and cameos. Obviously, Reynolds and the rest of the “Deadpool 3” folks would like to preserve the element of surprise, but they’d also like for people to see the film in its intended experience, not as a blurry picture from a hundred yards away.
“Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies,” wrote Reynolds. “It’s important for us to shoot the new ‘Deadpool’ film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone.”
He added, “Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen. Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the ‘good problems’ bucket. I love making this movie.”
Why is “Deadpool 3” getting spoiled when other Marvel films don’t? Well, the filmmakers involved have decided to film a good portion of “Deadpool 3” out in real sets. This is how things used to be for the MCU, but over the past several years, most of the productions are on large sound stages, far from prying eyes.
“Deadpool 3” is also drawing a lot of attention because of the potential cameos. The film (from what has been reported, especially thanks to the Hugh Jackman casting) is expected to bridge the gap from the Fox “X-Men” universe and the current MCU. This is allowing for “Deadpool 3” to potentially have a ton of cameos, not just from the MCU, but also from the old “X-Men” films and whatever other wackiness Reynolds and Co. can come up with.
As of now, “Deadpool 3” is expected to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
Well, at least Reynolds has a good sense of humor about it.
