Got a Tip?

Actually, Disney Will Be Making Your Baby Yoda Toy Dreams Come True This Christmas

Just a couple of days ago, it was reported that one of the main reasons that Disney and Lucasfilm were able to keep the secret of Baby Yoda away from the “Star Wars” fandom is due to the studio’s decision to delay merchandise manufacturing featuring the character until after the series premiered. This was a decision that was applauded by “The Mandalorian” creator-writer Jon Favreau, but it led to many Baby Yoda fans being bummed out they won’t get any merch in the near future.

Well, forget all that nonsense. Disney knows when money is to be made, and the studio is going to make sure it makes all the cash this holiday season.

According to a new report from CNBC, Baby Yoda, referred to as “The Child,” officially, will be featured on a number of new t-shirts, toys, accessories, and other merchandise not only before Christmas but actually before December.

CNBC says the studio has a pretty aggressive merchandising strategy in place, with Baby Yo…err, “The Child” toys, apparel, and accessories arriving in stores such as through Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic, and Box Lunch. In fact, the report claims that you may actually be able to buy that merchandise as early as today.

So, much to the chagrin of Jon Favreau, who just recently spoke about how he was happy Disney didn’t release any spoilerific merchandise for “The Mandalorian” just yet, the Mouse House performs another fan service miracle. Now, unlike Kid Favreau, who was denied “Star Wars” toys for Christmas ‘77, fans of the little green baby might be unwrapping some ‘Mandalorian’ gifts this holiday season.

Let’s be real, this isn’t for the kids, is it? We’re about to see a lot of grown adults wearing Baby Yoda t-shirts in the days to come. And Disney, once again, laughs all the way to the bank.
