‘Don’t Move’ Trailer: Kelsey Asbille Stars & Sam Raimi Produces Netflix’s Paralysis Thriller On October 25

With horror movie season heating up, there’s plenty of new thrillers, ghost stories, and slasher films hitting streamers in the next several weeks. So what’s on Netflix’s release schedule? At their Geeked Week event last night, the streamer revealed one of their selections for the 2024 spooky season: “Don’t Move,” starring “Yellowstone” actress Kelsey Asbille.

Asbille stars in the thriller as a woman caught in a cat-and-mouse game deep in the woods with someone who injected her with a paralytic agent. Here’s an official synopsis of “Don’t Move,” courtesy of Netflix:

A grieving woman hoping to find solace deep in an isolated forest encounters a stranger who injects her with a paralytic agent. As the agent gradually takes over her body, she must run, hide, and fight for her life before her entire nervous system shuts down.

Along with Asbille, “Don’t Move” also stars Finn Wittrock, Moray Treadwell, and Daniel Francis.

Adam Schindler and Brian Netto share directing duties on “Don’t Move.”  T.J. Cimfel and David White pen the film’s script. As noted earlier, Raimi leads producers with Zainab Azizi, Alex Lebovici, Christian Mercuri, and Sarah Sarandos. Executive producers include David Haring, Roman Viaris, Ruzanna Kegeyan, Petr Jákl, Ara Kershishian, Michael Pessell, Roger Chenn, Marc Manus, Schindler, and Netto.

“Don’t Move” is Asbille’s first feature film since Taylor Sheridan‘s “Wind River” from 2017. Could more projects like this be on the horizon for her with the uncertain future of “Yellowstone”?  Maybe, if this film clicks with Netflix subscribers. “Don’t Move” premieres on the streamer on October 25.
