Have Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson joined the cast of the long-rumored “Johnny Quest” biopic?
Moviehole reported over the weekend that fresh-faced teen Zac Efron might play Jonny Quest and former WWE star cum actor Dwayne Johnson might play the white-haird bodyguard Race Bannon. The story then was pulled, but not before Cinemablend could find it and report it.
Then late yesterday IESB.net reported the same info adding that Andy Fickman (“The Game Plan”) might direct. This “franchise” probably has as much legs and is as beloved as “Speed Racer” was which is to say not at all. What’s that Warner Bros. digging up an old cartoon series that nobody really care for? Go figure…best of luck, all. You’ll need it. Odd: the Moviehole story is back up and they seem to be fully confident once again in their reporting replete with Johnson quotes seemingly confirming the report. You can infer what you want there.
