It’s time for your inner goddess to jump up and down all over again, clapping like a five year old. E.L. James has returned to the very giving well of erotic fiction and found a new way to handcuff and squeeze out more from the "Fifty Shades Of Grey" franchise. And we’re not talking about a movie (yet).
The writer announced today that later this month, she’ll be publishing a new version of "Fifty Shades Of Grey," but here’s the twist: it’s told from Christian’s point-of-view. Apparently, fans have been asking for this, and James has indulged their request. I mostly can’t wait for excerpted euphemisms for sex that will be contained therein. "Christian is a complex character, and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place — writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at [publishing company] Vintage," James said.

So, will we see another movie version of "Fifty Shades Of Grey"? Probably not immediately, but if someone wants to reboot the kinky story down the line, they will have new material to work. Very smart, E.L. James, very smart.
The new book, simply titled "Grey," will arrive on June 18th. [THR]
