‘Euphoria’ Special Part 2 Trailer: Hunter Schafer’s Jules Gets The Spotlight Treatment

There are always two sides to every story, and the “Euphoria” COVID special is no exception. Viewers got to see how Rue (Zendaya) spent her Christmas Eve: in a diner having a vigorous back-and-forth with Ali (Colman Domingo). When last seen, she’s being driven back home by him and minus her one going the opposite way. So whatever happened once Jules (Hunter Schafer) realized she got on the train alone? That’s the side being tackled next in this unique bridge between Seasons 1 and 2 of HBO’s popular show.

Creator and writer Sam Levinson will likely direct this second part, which—like its predecessor—was filmed while abiding by all COVID-19 safety guidelines. The pandemic did halt production on season two and presented this rare opportunity to fill in the gaps a bit more completely. Speaking of Season 2, it was announced only about a month after the series premiered in June 2019.

Episode 1 of the special was proof-positive that Zendaya deserved to become the youngest actress to win in her category at the Emmys. But now, the focus shifts to Schafer, someone whom many believe was overlooked at the same awards ceremony.

Euphoria follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media. Actor and singer Zendaya leads an ensemble cast including Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Algee Smith, and Sydney Sweeney.
