**Spoilers ahead** If the marketing for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was all about keeping things as secret as possible, Disney and Lucasfilm are taking the completely opposite tack with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” With tickets now on sale and the release date just weeks away, they’re taking the old “let’s just show them everything approach” which is turning genuine excitement into overkill.

A new TV spot has landed for the movie and hey, there’s the back of the late Peter Cushing‘s head as Grand Moff Tarkin, and even more emphasis that yes, you will be seeing Darth Vader in the movie. Meanwhile, a fresh featurette has even more footage and behind-the-scenes material, and on top of the confirmation that Jimmy Smits is returning, plus all the scenes released in the latest promos, you might want to start thinking about going on a self-imposed media blackout until the movie arrives.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” opens on December 16th.
