For writer and director Brian Jett, he couldn't have asked for a better ensemble with which to make his feature film debut, "Let Go." Starring David Denham (aka Roy from "The Office"), Kevin Hart, "Community" star Gillian Jacobs, Ed Asner and more, the indie comedy finds a number of characters and lives interconnecting.
"Let Go" follows Walter Dishman (Denman), a melancholy parole officer struggling with the doldrums of married life, and three eccentric ex-convicts that were recently placed under his supervision: Darla DeMint (Jacobs), a sultry femme fatale on the run from a psychopathic ex-boyfriend that she stole from and whose heart she has broken; Artie (Asner), a cranky geriatric criminal whose feeble attempts to resume his life of crime are continually thwarted; and Kris Styles (Hart), an Ivy League-educated doctor who is forced to take the most menial jobs imaginable to satisfy the conditions of his parole.
These two exclusive clips from the film will give you a taste of the tone and tenor of "Let Go." In the first, we see Kris struggling in his gig as a sidewalk hot dog, while the in the next, Artie's attempts to rob a corner store don't quite go as planned.
"Let Go" will be available on DVD on August 21st and well as via a number of digital options including VOD, iTunes, Amazon, Sony Playstation, Vudu, Microsoft Xbox and YouTube.
