Exclusive: Cody Horn Lands Female Lead In Steven Soderbergh's 'Magic Mike'

With filming set to kick off next month on Steven Soderbergh's low budget male stripper pic has been busy of late lining up a helluva cast that so far includes Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Riley Keough. Late last week, word circled around the internet that Jessica Biel had also boarded the film but those reports were erroneous, however, a young, up-and-coming actress has landed the female lead in the film.

Sources close the project have confirmed to the The Playlist that Cody Horn has joined "Magic Mike." The daughter of former Warner Bros. president and COO Alan Horn has been very busy lately lining up a variety of gigs including a part in David Ayer's "End Of Watch" in addition parts in "The Office" and "Rescue Me." Penned by Reid Carolin, the film will tell the story about an experienced stripper (Tatum) who teaches a younger dancer (Pettyfer) how to hustle his wares on stage and off at the exotic club Xquisite, run by Dallas (McConaughey). Horn will play Pettyfer's sister Paige in the film who has a romance with Tatum's character. Horn apparently beat out some bigger name actresses for the part however there is one more female role to be cast before the picture is solidified.

The film, based on Tatum's real life experiences, kicks off in September.
