Exclusive: ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Gets Its Due In 2 New Clips From Documentary ‘The Dwarvenaut’

Director Josh Bishop is quickly establishing himself as a documentary filmmaker to watch. Within the span of roughly 12 months he’s delivered “Made In Japan” — about Japan’s first country singer and narrated by Elijah Wood, which made its debut at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival — and “The Dwarvenaut” which debuted at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival.

“The Dwarvenaut” is a lyrical, irony-free chronicle of the life of a Dungeons and Dragons obsessive living in Brooklyn, New York. Here’s the official synopsis:

A dreamlike glimpse into the visionary mind of Brooklyn-based artist and entrepreneur Stefan Pokorny, a classically-trained art prodigy obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons. Pokorny attempts to bring his most ambitious work yet to life through Kickstarter, where he has raised over $6.4 million and given countless D&D devotees the dungeons of their wildest fantasies.

The Dwarvenaut” is currently on VOD channels, but makes its Netflix debut today, September 13th. We suggest you give it a whirl. Watch two exclusive clips below.
