Bruckner (“Anna Nicole,” “The Woods“) and inspired by Patricia Highsmith‘s “Strangers On A Train,” the sexually charged story follows two young women — Sara and Alex — who form a pact to murder each other’s bitter enemy. Sara will kill Alex’s stepmother, while Alex will dispose of Brooke, a woman who humiliated Sara and cost her a scholarship at the school she attends. But as usual, things don’t always work out as they should…
After playing Frameline in San Francisco, “Breaking The Girls” will unspool in Los Angeles at Outfest this week, with IFC Midnight bringing it to VOD and digital outlets and screens in New York City on July 26th.
