Exclusive: Preview The '70s Stacked Soundtrack For 'The Nice Guys'

While HBO‘s “Vinyl” and Netflix‘s upcoming “The Get Down” are taking you back to the heady days of the 1970s on the small screen, at the movies, that era is getting a lighter touch with Shane Black‘s “The Nice Guys.” The man behind “Lethal Weapon” and “Iron Man 3” is getting back into buddy cop mode for his next movie, which sees Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe pairing up as a private investigator and enforcer who are mixed up in the case of a missing girl. And to set the mood, the soundtrack is coming loaded with top tunes from the decade.

Disco (Bee Gees), rock ‘n roll (KISS), r ‘n b (Kool & The Gang) and more feature across the fifteen tracks featuring in the official release. It’s a nicely curated batch of tunes that should further help establish the wild world of the R-rated action comedy, and will make for a pretty good mix all on its own, too.

“The Nice Guys” debuts at Cannes before opening on May 20th. The soundtrack will arrive on May 19th. Check out our exclusive preview above.
