'F9' Trailer: The 'Fast & Furious' Gang Settle Some Family Business On June 25

Since the series debuted in 2001, the “Fast & Furious” films have grown from a trio of street-racing movies to an outsized action franchise. Now, the series reaches its conclusion with a trio of movies to finish things off. First up, “F9.”

Dom Toretto and the entire gang are back in another globetrotting, action-packed adventure to face off against a profoundly personal villain. Here’s the official synopsis:

Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto leads a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena, next year’s The Suicide Squad).

All of the familiar “Fast & Furious” faces return to face off against John Cena in this family vendetta.  Vin Diesel leads the group, with Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Chris “Ludacris” BridgesJordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Helen Mirren also star.  Charlize Theron is also in the mix, reprising her role as Cipher, the team’s adversary from “The Fate Of The Furious.”

Lucas Black, Bow Wow, and Jason Tobin are all back to reprise their series’ roles.  Cardi B has a cameo of sorts, while Japanese singer-actress Anna Sawai will also make an appearance. As for another new face: Michael Rooker.

Justin Lin returns to the franchise he helped build after not directing the previous two films. He directed the third through sixth films in the franchise before this one. Lin also wrote the screenplay alongside Daniel Casey.
