The film features Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Katherine Waterston, and Mads Mikkelsen. Obviously, if you’ve been following the drama surrounding the film, you know Mikkelsen is the newest member of the cast but is taking over in the Grindelwald role left vacant by Johnny Depp, who was fired from the role after the previous film.

David Yates, longtime ‘Potter’ director, returns to helm the feature, with a script by J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves. “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” arrives in theaters on April 15, 2022. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
