How does a relaxing getaway become a fight for survival? A group of friends battles strangers, and each other, in “Find Your Friends.” Amber and her four best pals plan for a relaxing trip to Joshua Tree. Their journey takes an unexpected turn after encountering the bitter locals of a secluded town. The upcoming film is from Izabel Pakzad, who is both writer and director. This marks her first feature, previously helming and writing the short “Don’t Worry, It’s Gonna Be Ok.” Pakzad also appears in “Find Your Friends,” portraying Sidney.

Bella Thorne, Chloe Cherry, Helena Howard, Sophia Ali, and Zion Moreno star in ‘Friends.’ Howard’s previous starring role in 2024’s “I Saw the TV Glow” drew critical and audience praise. Cherry plays Faye in the forthcoming season of HBO’s “Euphoria.”
The film’s official synopsis:
“FIND YOUR FRIENDS follows Amber and her four best friends as they flee Los Angeles for a girls’ trip in Joshua Tree, only to find themselves unwelcome in a desert town simmering with quiet hostility. As isolation sets in and encounters with aggressive locals grow more threatening, festering resentments within the group begin to surface. What begins as a fun and reckless escape spirals into a violent struggle for control and survival, as past wounds and present dangers collide in a night that turns their trip into a revenge-fueled nightmare.”
Pakzad, Allison Friedman, Andrea Iervolino, Luca Matrundola, Monika Bacardi, and Gary Michael Walters serve as producers on “Find Your Friends.” The film arrives on Shudder June 12. Watch the trailer below.
