Just under a year and $3 million and change later, Zach Braff is getting ready to show off his (somewhat controversially) Kickstarted “Wish I Was Here,” with the movie recently landing a slot at next month’s Sundance Film Festival. And the first few images from the movie are here to show contributors what they paid for.
With his life now throughly changed by The Shins, Braff directs and leads the movie as Aidan Bloom, a 35-year-old struggling actor, father and husband who can no longer afford to pay for private school for his two kids. So, he decides to home school them and as you might guess, lives are changed (again). For his low budget effort, Braff has rounded up a fairly decent supporting cast with Joey King, Kate Hudson, Mandy Patinkin, Josh Gad and Ashley Greene all on board. And we’ll soon see if lightning can strike twice for Braff in Park City.
No release date yet for “Wish I Was Here” but more details are likely coming soon.
