First Look: Anne Hathaway Goes Short For Lone Scherfig's 'One Day'

Alert the media! Anne Hathaway has cut off her beautifully long tresses for her new role in “One Day,” Lone Scherfig’s follow-up to the highly acclaimed, “An Education” starring “The Devil Wears Prada” star, and Jim Sturgess (“Across the Universe”). The film also stars Patricia Clarkson and Romola Garai (“Atonement,” “Glorious 39”) and is a romantic comedy centered on Emma and Dexter (Hathaway and Sturgess), who first meet during their graduation in 1988 and proceed to reunite one day each year for the next 20 years.

Yes, like THR, this is our move into US Weekly-like reporting. OK, not really, but since a few readers emailed this to us we figured, why not, considering we are interested and excited about this project and Scherfig’s work. Plus people do set photos and first looks all the time. Apologist enough for you? Sturgess is also underrated and we hope he flourishes in this role. [DailyMail]
