“Who are you?” Those are the first words that Luke Skywalker asks Rey in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” which presumes that they’re not related. I haven’t been following every rumor about the followup to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and part of me doesn’t even want this trailer… I’ll be there opening day regardless, so spare me the endless speculation. (But let’s be real, I’m going to watch the hell out of this trailer anyway).
Rian Johnson directs episode eight, which will reportedly pick up right were J.J. Abrams‘ picture ends, presumably making an opening crawl pointless, but the movie will have one anyway. Traditions die hard. As for what else is in store? You’ll just have to watch.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opens on December 15th.
