'Funny Face' Exclusive Trailer: Tim Sutton Returns With A Drama About A Guy, A Mask & Uncontrolled Rage

Odds are, if you’ve seen any images or clips from the new film, “Funny Face,” you’re familiar with the image of a man in a creepy smiley mask. And while there are no capes or Infinity Stones to be found, as seen in the new trailer for the film, “Funny Face” is definitely a story about two people trying to save the soul of their little slice of New York City. But you probably shouldn’t call them superheroes.

With “Funny Face” arriving in theaters and VOD next month, we’re thrilled to give our readers an exclusive look at the first trailer for Tim Sutton’s latest feature. The film tells the story of a disturbed, angry guy that finds comfort hiding behind a mask as he tries to deal with the day-to-day struggles. He then finds himself drawn to this young Muslim woman dealing with her own issues and the two develop an instant bond. As a duo, they then aim to help take down a seemingly evil businessman.

The film stars Cosmo Jarvis, Jonny Lee Miller, Dela Meskienyar, Victor Garber, Jeremy Bobb, Dan Hedaya, and Rhea Perlman. “Funny Face” is written and directed by Tim Sutton. The filmmaker is probably best known for his previous film, “Donnybrook,” which debuted in 2018. If you read The Playlist often enough, you’ve probably seen me rave about “Donnybrook” a number of times, as it’s one of the best films of 2018 and a criminally underseen drama. His next film is the Western, “The Last Son,” which he finished production on recently.
