Transgressive French director Gaspar Noé has already shown one of the most excruciatingly brutal rapes in the history of film (“Irréversible”), given an audacious thirty second warning to audiences to leave the theater before watching a father do unspeakable things to his daughter (“I Stand Alone”) and will likely freak us all the fuck out again with his upcoming film, “Enter The Void,” which basically centers on the spirit of a murdered drug dealer trying to stay on this earth and keep the promise of protecting his young stripper sister now that their parents have been brutally murdered (which promises to be incredibly ambitious, effects-driven and Tokyo-shot).
But he’s already working on the next one, a so-far untitled project which he calls “a joyful porn movie – a joyful movie with explicit sex.”
Noe says it will be different from the erotic-like vignette (cheerfully called, “We Fuck Alone”) he directed for the sex n’ porn compilation flick, “Destricted” (which also featured filmmakers Matthew Barney, Larry Clark, and Sam Taylor Wood among others).
“I never saw a movie that mixed both real emotions and explicit sex,” Noe explained. “In life, [sex] is the focus of most people. They are not obsessed with money or social recognition. They are obsessed with sex. Why do we never see it portrayed for the joy it brings.”
He also notes, it’ll be simple, scaled down in comparison to ‘Void’ and “a small family movie.” Fun for the whole family, we’re sure. [ScreenDaily]
