'Giant Little Ones' Trailer: A Teenage Boy Explores His Sexuality In This Coming-Of-Age TIFF Film

Sexuality isn’t something that is easily defined in 2019. For years, the idea of people being able to “experiment” with their sexuality, exploring the entire spectrum, so to speak, was unheard of. People tended (and still do, honestly) to put everyone in very specific categories. And the upcoming film, “Giant Little Ones” explores that with a coming-of-age story that is a bit more complicated than most.

As seen in the trailer for the film, “Giant Little Ones” follows the story of one teenage boy that is going through all the ups and downs that comes with high school life, particularly with the options of who to date. For Franky, he has girls that are ready to date him at a moments notice, but after one drunken night of “experimenting” with his best friend Ballas, his ideas of his own personal sexuality are further confused. And making matters worse is the typical high school life, where Franky is ridiculed for being gay after the night with Ballas and has to try to explain to people about something as nuanced as his personal sexuality.

The film stars Maria Bello, Kyle MacLachlan, Josh Wiggins, Darren Mann, and Taylor Hickson. “Giant Little Ones” is written and directed by Keith Behrman, who is probably best known for the film “Flower & Garnet.”

“Giant Little Ones” hits theaters beginning on March 1.

Here’s the synopsis:

They live a perfect teenage life – until the night of Franky’s epic 17th birthday party, when Franky and Ballas are involved in an unexpected incident that changes their lives forever.
