Rising talent Courtney Eaton and Sophie Nélisse have been working together on the acclaimed series “Yellowjackets,” but the pair of actresses are already planning on a reunion with a feature adaptation of the Kathleen Glasgow novel “Girl In Pieces.”
The news of the gestating dramatic project comes to us from Variety, who reveal the two will be producing the movie, following the exploits of a girl recently released from a psych ward, with The Space Program‘s Lizzie Shapiro, Lexi Tannenholtz, and Gus Deardof.

The synopsis for “Girl In Pieces” was also shared by the outlet:
“It follows Charlie Davis, a young woman recently released from a psychiatric ward in Minnesota after a suicide attempt. After a move across the country to Tucson, Ariz., Charlie tries to piece her life back together among a band of artists and musicians while dealing with the trauma of childhood abuse, self-harm, and homelessness. A toxic relationship with a local musician and the reappearance of her friend from the psych ward threaten the delicate life she’s putting together.”
Eaton likely hit most people’s radar after playing one of the young brides in George Miller‘s “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Along with other projects such as “Newness” and The Space Program’s “Parachute.” While Nélisse is known for films like “The Book Thief” and will be seen next alongside Dafne Keen (“Deadpool & Wolverine”) in the new Corin Hardy-directed teen horror flick “Whistle.”
We’re still waiting on who will be playing the other roles, and the name of a director, but “Girl In Pieces” sounds quite a promising project.
