Guillermo del Toro Takes The Top Prize At The 2018 DGA Awards

The 2018 DGA Awards were held Saturday night in Los Angeles and marked the final major guild honor to be handed out after “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” took the SAG Ensemble honor and “The Shape of Water” won the PGA Award late last month.

“The Shape of Water’s” Guillermo del Toro joined his “three amigos” Alfonso Curaon and Alejandro González Iñárritu in winning the DGA’s top prize.  Jordan Peele took the First Time Feature Director honor for “Get Out.”  Reed Morano took the Dramatic Series honor for “The Handmaid’s Tale,”  Beth McCarthy-Miller won the Comedy Series award for “Veep,” Jean-Marc Vallée was rewarded for “Big Little Lies” and Matthew Heineman won the Documentary Film prize for “City of Ghosts.”
