Raiff stars in “Hal & Harper” with Lily Reinhart and Mark Ruffalo as one of a pair of siblings forced to reexamine their lives and relationship when their single dad announces he’s having another kid.
Here’s an official synopsis for “Hal & Harper,” courtesy of MUBI:
From Cooper Raiff comes Hal & Harper, a wry and heartfelt 8-episode series about two siblings whose closeness is both their comfort and their curse. Hal (Raiff) and Harper (Lili Reinhart) have built their adult lives side by side in Los Angeles, tethered by a lifetime of inside jokes and shared pain.
When their father (Mark Ruffalo) announces he’s having a baby with his girlfriend, Kate, it forces the siblings to reexamine their past and reckon with the versions of themselves they’ve carried into adulthood. As the lines blur between closeness and codependence, memory and reality, Hal & Harper explores how a bond formed in childhood can shape every relationship that comes after—for better or worse.
Along with Raiff, Reinhart, and Ruffalo, the show also stars Betty Gilpin, Havana Rose Liu, Chritsopher Meyer, Alyah Chanelle Scott, and Addison Timlin.
Raiff directs the series along with serving as its creator. He also executive produces with Clemintine Quittner, Reinhart, Timlin, and Daniel Lewis. Thomas Hartman produces the show.
“Hal & Harper” premieres on MUBI on October 19 with two episodes, and new episodes releasing weekly on Sundays through November 30. Watch a trailer for the series below.
