What happens when the past catches up with you? One man must confront his failures while facing a lifetime of mistakes in “Hard Luck Love Song.” The film takes its cues from a song by musician Todd Snider. “Just Like Old Times” traces the story of two people lost to their version of the American dream. Much of the film’s indie spirit comes from its creative team. Justin Corsbie joins the project after gaining experience with smaller films such as “Hot Dogs & Hand Grenades” and “Vegas Bound.” More than just a director on ‘Luck,’ he also assumes co-writer duties with Craig Ugoretz; the film marks Urgoretz’s first-ever writing credit. Christian Monti and Peter J. Scalettar act as executive producers on the project. Scalettar has a background working with reality hits “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” and music documentaries.
