HBO Max Debuts First Look Footage of 'Peacemaker,' 'Sex & The City' Revival & More In New Teaser

Are you guys Maxing? I’m not sure if that’s actually a term used by WarnerMedia, but if the studio would like to borrow it for upcoming HBO Max marketing, go for it! But if you aren’t Maxing, perhaps a new sizzle reel of forthcoming series and films will spark your interest in the streaming platform? Recently, HBO Max debuted a new teaser featuring first-looks at some of the most anticipated TV series of the next several months, and it does make a solid case as to why people should subscribe to the streamer.

Amongst the many, many projects teased in the sizzle reel are new seasons of HBO/HBO Max series such as “Succession,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Euphoria,” “Gossip Girl,” and “Insecure.” Sure, those are all exciting and will likely get all sorts of awards consideration next year (well, minus “Gossip Girl,” which definitely knows its role as a teen-focused binge). But sizzle reels with people we’ve already seen don’t really hype us up, right? Let’s get to the new stuff.

Also included in the footage are first looks at “Peacemaker,” the “Sex and the City” revival titled “And Just Like That…”, and “The Sex Life of College Girls.” While ‘College Girls’ is sure to get some fans, the biggest hype surrounds the former two, particularly “Peacemaker,” which is the ‘Suicide Squad’ spinoff series coming to HBO Max in January. And though you only see a few seconds of footage, it’s clear “Peacemaker” is keeping the same tone of the aforementioned film, and John Cena looks to be having just as much fun as the deadly goofball anti-hero.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that WarnerMedia is ready to reveal official release dates for most of these upcoming projects. But considering this most of these projects have been in the works for a while, we have to assume many will debut before the end of 2021, with some stragglers hitting early in 2022. You can watch the sizzle reel below.
