While we have our hopes high and fingers crossed that the upcoming fourth season of "Arrested Development" can match the amazing genius of the first three seasons before it was canceled by Fox, it seems Mitch Hurwitz and co. are making sure they have all the comedic ingredients at their disposal. Of course, all the main ensemble are back, with John Slattery also lending his skills and Liza Minnelli returning as well. And now another player has confirmed she'll be appearing/planting as well.
Currently doing the rounds for "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower," Mae Whitman has assured fans she'll be back as the buttoned-up Ann Veal. Awesome. "I've always been like 'Oh I don't want to give anything away,' but I definitely, definitely wouldn't ever let this chance go by without being a part of it," Whitman told Hollywood. "I told Mitch [Hurwitz] that I would stand outside the sound stage until he would let me just walk through the background or something."
And in case there was any doubt about her involvment: "I would say yes, you can definitely expect to find a little bit of Ann hiding in the background somewhere, at least."
It makes a lot of sense she would make some kind of appearance, especially given the season three finale reveal that she was dating Gob. So yeah, another puzzle piece in place. So can we get Steve Holt and Carl Weathers back too please?
