‘The Woman In The Yard’ Trailer: Blumhouse Horror Flick Directed By Jaume Collet-Serra Hits Theaters March 28

Today, a new trailer for the latest theatrical effort from genre mega-producer Jason Blum’s (“Halloween”) Blumhouse Pictures and Universal Pictures as “The Woman In The Yard” will be hitting the big screen later this month. Reeling from a personal tragedy, a single mother and her children are now being haunted by a ghostly womanly figure in their yard that won’t leave them alone as her presence gets increasingly unnerving.

Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra (“Run All Night”) directs from a script penned by Sam Stefanak (The Bill Burr animated Netflix comedy “F Is For Family”) with a cast that features Danielle Deadwyler, Okwui Okpokwasili, Russell Hornsby, Peyton Jackson, and Estella Kahiha.

The horror flick’s official logline from Universal Pictures:

A woman crippled by grief after she survives a car accident that takes her husband. Seriously injured, Ramona now must care for their 14-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter alone in her rural farmhouse. Then, one day, the woman takes form in their yard. Ramona assumes the woman is lost or demented, but as the woman creeps nearer and nearer to the house, it becomes clear she is no ordinary figure, and her intentions are anything but peaceful. Now Ramona must rally to protect herself and her children from the grasp of the woman who simply won’t leave them alone.

Collet-Serra is no stranger to the horror genre, with credits that feature films such as “House of Wax,” “The Orphan,” and the Blake Lively shark-attack thriller “The Swallows.”

Blumhouse is gearing up with a handful of gestating horror remakes, such as a new take on “The Mummy” from director Lee Cornin and a remake of the live-action incarnation of the Image Comics hellbound antihero “Spawn.”

Universal will release “The Woman In The Yard” on March 28, and you can see the latest trailer below.
