According to Netflix, Cage has signed on to host a six-episode docuseries titled “The History of Swear Words.” And as the title suggests, the show will be a deep dive, speaking to etymology experts, historians, and entertainers, into the origin stories of some of our favorite curse words. Curious about where “fuck” got its start? What about “shit” or “damn?” Don’t worry, Nic Cage has you covered.

Some of the entertainers that are expected to help uncover the origins of these words include Joel Kim Booster, DeRay Davis, Open Mike Eagle, Nikki Glaser, Patti Harrison, London Hughes, Jim Jefferies, Zainab Johnson, Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, Baron Vaughn, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. So even though we have the guaranteed awesomeness of Nic Cage, there are plenty of other funny people that are going to be able to help make us laugh in this pretty silly docuseries.
