We probably don’t need to reiterate that “Warcraft” was a flop….at least domestically. Whatever critics and audiences might’ve said on this continent, elsewhere around the world, Duncan Jones‘ video game blockbuster earned $386 million worldwide, and nearly 90% of the movie’s box office returns. We can theorize all day why that happened, but at the end of the day, even the director himself admitted the movie suffered from a “death of 1,000 cuts.” And the folks at Screen Junkies are going to slice it up a few more times.

The latest Honest Trailer takes the big budget mess to task, as the video game adaptation was once again another cautionary tale in why Hollywood might want to hold on trying to make any more of these (though we’ll see if the curse is broken with this winter’s “Assassin’s Creed“). From a dull, complicated storyline to bad prosthetics to wasting the talents of Glenn Close, the crimes against “Warcraft” are quite a few.
