In the era of TV revivals, perhaps “Veronica Mars” is the most obvious choice. People sure do love Kristen Bell’s upstart sleuth and according to Deadline, fans will probably see the titular lady come back for some more adventures in the future.
The report says that Hulu and series creator Rob Thomas are working out a deal that would see Bell return to the role for a single eight-episode limited series. And Deadline expects that if the deal closes, Bell won’t be the only returning actress, as a number of other cast members will follow suit.

This wouldn’t be the first time that “Veronica Mars” was revived, after being canceled in 2007. Back in 2014, after a wildly popular crowdfunding campaign, Thomas and Bell brought ‘Mars’ back for a feature film. Unfortunately, that film wasn’t able to garner big enough box office returns to warrant sequels, but it proved that the fans of the CW show are still as rabid for ‘Mars’ now as they were then. So, it’s a no-brainer that Hulu would be interested in a full-fledged TV revival.
And for those worried about “The Good Place,” Kristen Bell’s critically-acclaimed NBC sitcom with Ted Danson, don’t be. The potential “Veronica Mars” revival is not expected to clash with that series’ production. And let’s be real, if given a choice, Bell is surely going to pick the NBC hit and not the second attempt at bringing “Veronica Mars” back.
Obviously, there’s no release date yet, but its safe to say that we probably wouldn’t see the revival back until the end of 2019, or early 2020.
