It’s taken much, much longer than I anticipated, but I’m happy to present the first episode of the 4 Quadrant podcast with this week’s special guest, The Hollywood Reporter TV critic and Television Critics Association Vice President Dan Fienberg.
The goal behind the 4 Quadrant podcast is to provide a bit more insight into the movie industry and Oscar season than you’re currently getting just reading or following me online (plus, doesn’t this town need another Oscars podcast?). I’m a huge fan of podcasts myself and my phone is always queued up with a very strange mix of NBA and Drag Race podcasts that I religiously follow. After appearing on a number of different shows, I’d been waiting for the right opportunity to start my own, and with Awards Campaign at The Playlist, now’s as good a time as any.
Every week during award season, I’ll recap the most recent edition of the Contender Countdown and give my thoughts on anything newsworthy regarding this year’s Oscar race. An interview with a special guest, actor or filmmaker will follow. My first guest is the aforementioned Fienberg who started HitFix from the ground up with me (cough) oh so long ago.
