'Is Now A Good Time?': Watch Jim Cummings' New Short Satire About Marvel/Disney

Jim Cummings is one of our favorite indie filmmakers working today. He makes wholly unique projects that are funny, heartbreaking, and sometimes sweet. So, we were delighted to see that Cummings has a new short film that he released on X. And holy shit, it’s hilarious.

You can watch the entire 11-minute short on X now, titled “Is Now a Good Time?” The short tells the story of a Disney employee who is tasked with going to a young child’s house to give him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a Marvel Studios film before anyone else can. Saying much more would spoil the laughs, so let’s keep it at that.

The short features Cummings in the lead role. He’s joined in the cast by Leticia Castillo, Christine Avila, Daniel Sanchez, and Daniel Liu. “Is Now a Good Time?” is written and directed by Cummings. He’s probably best known for his film, “Thunder Road.” He also directed the horror film, “The Wolf of Snow Hollow.” Cummings’ most recent film is the 2021 comedy “The Beta Test.”

With the release of “Deadpool & Wolverine” right around the corner, Cummings picked the best time to grace the world with his short film. You can watch it right now below:
