Isabelle Fuhrman Will Go To 'The Wilderness Of James' Instead Of Chloë Moretz

It looks like the reteaming of “Let Me In” stars Chloë Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee will have to wait. Scheduling problems have reared their head and the actress, who is currently busy on “Kick-Ass 2,” has had to drop out of “The Wilderness of James,” but another rising actress will get a chance to make an impression.

Isabelle Fuhrman, perhaps best known for her turn in “Orphan” and appearance in “The Hunger Games,” has replaced Moretz in the picture. Penned by Michael Johnson, who will also be making his feature film debut, ‘James’ is a coming-of-age tale set in Portland centering on a boy dealing with an absentee father. The low-budget flick will roll in front of cameras in October.

Fuhrman was slated to star in David Gordon Green‘s “Suspiria” remake, which for now has been pushed back or scrapped with the filmmaker moving on instead to “Joe” with Nicolas Cage. The actress will also be seen in next summer’s Shyamalan/Smith/Smith joint “After Earth,” but ‘Wilderness’ will be a nice opportunity to lead a pic all on her own. [Deadline]
