Miss “Succession“? Well, good news: HBO and Jesse Armstrong have a new tale about uber-rich ready for HBO and Max subscribers next month, with an all-star cast led by Steve Carell.
The first-look for “Mountainhead” doesn’t give away much, but the original film follows a group of billionaire friends who shack up together at a remote chateau for a hang, and to discuss an imminent global crisis. Here’s an official logline for the movie, courtesy of HBO:
A group of billionaire friends get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis.
Along with Carell, “Mountainhead” also stars Jason Schwarztman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef. Other cast include Hadley Robinson, Andy Daly, Ali Kinkade, Daniel Oreskes, and David Thompson. Amie MacKenzie and Ava Kostia round out the main cast. Filmed in Park City, Utah, the project is Armstrong’s feature directorial debut.
“Mountainhead” premieres on HBO and Max on May 31. Stayed tuned for a trailer as its release date approaches, but in the meantime, take a look at some first-look pics below.
