Jennifer Garner & Zoe Saldana Will Star Opposite Ryan Reynolds In Netflix's 'The Adam Project'

You didn’t think Ryan Reynolds would surround himself with unknowns for his upcoming high-concept, action-adventure film, “The Adam Project,” did you? Of course not! So, it shouldn’t be all that surprising he’s snagged two big co-stars to join him in the new Netflix film.

According to Deadline, Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Garner have been cast to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the forthcoming time-travel film, “The Adam Project,” which is directed by Shawn Levy. We’ve known about this film for a while now, as it was originally set up at Paramount but later sold to Netflix (as many films have been doing lately). Now, it appears the cast for the upcoming film is coming together as “The Adam Project” draws closer to production. Plot details are limited, but it’s being reported the feature tells the story of a man (Reynolds) that has to travel back in time to team up with a younger version of himself to do…something.

Garner is probably best known for her various comedic films over her career, and much like Reynolds, she has a healthy number of rom-coms under her belt, as well as superhero films “Daredevil” and “Elektra.” Most recently, she has appeared in various credit card commercials and will star in the upcoming feature, “Yes Day.”

Saldana is known for her roles in major franchise features such as “Avatar” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where she has a major role in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise and was recently in both “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” In addition to “The Adam Project,” she’s obviously heavily involved in the various “Avatar” sequels that James Cameron is cooking up.

As with most Netflix features, there’s no release date set for “The Adam Project.” Reynolds will first be seen in “Red Notice,” which will hit Netflix likely in 2021. He also recently starred in the Netflix film, “6 Underground.” Clearly, he enjoys his streaming films.
