Disney is no longer playing careful and coy with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” With the film now just weeks away, the global campaign is throttling into high gear with more footage coming at you in new featurettes and TV spots. And while the spinoff film is bringing with it a tremendous cast — Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, and many more — apparently it will be Alan Tudyk who will walk away with the movie as droid K-2SO.

“Alan had to wear this rather silly-looking outfit with dots on it while we were filming, and he always felt like the uncool guy on the set surrounded by actors in super cool costumes,” director Gareth Edwards told Disney Rewards. “I would tell him, ‘Alan, don’t worry. You’re going to steal every scene you’re in.’ ” And I was right. Once we put the robot overlay in, he was fantastic. He brings a lot of humor to the film.”
