Or Alternately Titled: Jonah Hex! Josh Brolin Will Set Fire To His Oscar-Worthy Career Next Summer
Release dates, release dates, release dates! Updated.
Christopher Nolan’s big-concept sci-fi film, “Inception” is set to open July 16, 2010. It’s the film he’s daring to make first instead of “Batman 3.”
“Jonah Hex,” will hit theaters Aug. 10, 2010. What else do we possibly have to say about this? Hmm, uhh…it stars Josh Brolin — who could likely torch his Oscar-promising career — John Malkovich and it’s written by the dudes who wrote “Crank” and the guy who directed “Horton Hears A Who!” (Jimmy Hayward).
Umm, it’s also expected to film in April. It could be so impossibly campy and over-the-top it could be inverse bad, meaning it could have some ironic delights. Or it could be just simply terrible. [*The Playlist does not normally endorse so-bad-its-good ironic film going, but like everything in life, there are exceptions to be made].
Some Release Date Updates Not Worth Their Own Post: The final “Harry Potter” film is now set for a July 15, 2011 release date. The “Clash of the Titans” remake is due on March 26, 2010. Warner Bros. “The Hangover” — a comedy that we greatly anticipate — will open June 5, one week earlier than its original release date of June. 12.
