‘Justice League’: Batman, Wonder Woman & Superhero Team Unite In New Epic Photo

Grounded realism this is not. Perhaps as a way to differentiate themselves from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. are doubling down with the very comic book-y aesthetic of “Justice League.” It’s a look that not everyone will take to, and as one unnamed Playlister just said, “Jesus, that looks uncomfortable.” A new, “epic” photo of “Justice League” has been released this afternoon and it’s gotten Twitter all abuzz.

Of course, there’s no Superman in the film because he’s “dead,” soon to be undead. Personally, I think this looks silly af and ‘Batman v Superman‘ (a just-announced multiple Razzie nominee for worst film of the year) wasn’t great either, so I’m not sure how much faith anyone but the devoted will have in this movie. But I’m happy to be proven wrong — I’d love to see a good “Justice League” film. Here’s the synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Snyder returns to direct with a cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher. “Justice League” opens in theaters on November 17th. Check out the image below.
