Got a Tip?

Kevin Feige Says Another ‘Avengers’ Film Will Happen “At Some Point” & Don’t Expect Him To Take Over ‘Star Wars’

If you scan over the upcoming titled from Marvel Studios, including the dozens of films and TV projects that have been announced and/or rumored, there isn’t an “Avengers” film to be found. And last I checked, the previous two ‘Avengers’ movies, ‘Endgame’ and ‘Infinity War’ are still two of the top five box office earners of all time. So, you would have to assume Kevin Feige and the rest of the Marvel Studios brain trust has something up their sleeves, right? Well, maybe not.

According to a new interview with IGN, Kevin Feige was asked if there is another ‘Avengers’ film on the horizon. And though he is quick to say that there probably will be at some point, he points out that there isn’t really anything like that happening anytime soon.

“I would have to think so. I would have to say yes, at some point,” Feige said.

But with Phase 4 already all mapped out and nary a blank space to be filled, it’s not likely that a new “Avengers” film is coming anytime over the next couple of years. If anything, we’re looking at Phase 5 and beyond.

So, without an “Avengers” film to focus on and build towards, maybe Feige has some time left to help shape the world of “Star Wars?” We already know that the producer is working on his own “Star Wars” film (with the recently attached writer Michael Waldron of “Loki” fame). Is that film just the beginning of a highly-rumored and speculated take over of the “Star Wars” franchise with more films coming from the Marvel Studios president?

Feige quickly shot that down to Collider and said, “No, not at all.”

Well, there you have it. For those hoping that Feige was going to replace Kathleen Kennedy and take over Lucasfilm, and thus, “Star Wars,” it appears your dreams won’t be coming true. At least not anytime soon.

WandaVision” is set to arrive on Disney+ on Friday.
