Sure, you may roll your eyes at Kevin James, but there are few comedy brands more reliable than his. He recently returned to TV after nearly a decade since “King Of Queens” ended its run, and his latest sitcom “Kevin Can Wait” (I know, I know) has debuted strongly, and seems to suggest his fanbase hasn’t disappeared in the slightest. And now he’s following his pal Adam Sandler to Netflix, where he’ll star in the action laffer “True Memoirs Of An International Assassin.”
Directed by Jeff Wadlow (“Kick-Ass 2“), the movie co-stars Andy Garcia and Zulay Henao, and follows an aspiring author who has a hit on his hands when his latest novel is published as a memoir. The problem? With everyone thinking he’s a real hitman, he gets kidnapped, taken out of the country, and finds himself in the center of an actual assassination plot. Take that, James Frey!
“True Memoirs Of An International Assassin” arrives on Netflix on November 11th.
