'Kick-Ass' Soundtrack Features Ennio Morricone, The Prodigy, New York Dolls, Elvis Presley & More

With “Kick-Ass” not only leading the buzz out of SXSW, but seemingly drowning everyone else out, the people behind the film are wasting no time in getting word about the film out there. With the release date five weeks away, reviews are already clogging most film sites.

Unfortunately for the people over at Polydor Records, they can’t seem to get their act together. While we previously reported that Mika would be singing the film’s title track, little did we know the label had tweeted the full tracklisting the same day. You wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at their website, which still has no details, or most online retailers, who have incomplete or missing tracklistings.

Anyway, we’ve tracked it all down and have the complete listing below. As we noted in our review of the film yesterday, director Matthew Vaughn makes “great use of source music,” though Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” which accompanied one of our favorite moments of the film, seems to be missing here. That said, the soundtrack seems both cheeky and high energy which is no surprise. Classic composer Ennio Morricone stands alongside acts such as The Prodigy, Primal Scream, The Dickies and New York Dolls. There appears to be dialogue snippets from the film included as well.

The soundtrack seems to be a UK only release, hitting stores on March 29th. There is no word yet if it will be released domestically as well.
